Recruitment at ASSA Annual Meeting for the Islamic Development Bank Group's Young Professionals Program


The Islamic Development Bank Group is recruiting for their Young Professionals Program.The IDB Group is an international development and financial organization based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and is continuously seeking highly qualified candidates to join the Bank. The Young Professionals Program (YPP) is the strategic talent pipeline for the professional career in the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group. The Program is designed for outstanding young graduates who can significantly help the IDB Group to carry out its mission and attain its objectives. This Program enables each Young Professional (YP) to receive extensive exposure and experience of the IDB Group’s various activities through job rotations in different departments. Upon successful program completion, the participant will gradually climb up the professional grades in the IDB Group.They will have an exhibit booth, #113, at the Allied Social Science Association 2014 Annual Meeting held on 3-5 January 2014 at Philadelphia Marriot Downtown. They will be conducting preliminary interviews onsite for those meeting our minimum requirements. All are welcome to apply and visit their booth for a career discussion. New AAEA Mentoring Program, Call for Mentors and Mentees

AAEA is launching a new Mentoring Program and is looking for interested mentors and mentees to apply. The program will last for a year, but will start with a workshop in Seattle immediately preceding the 2012 Annual Meeting. Applications for both mentors and mentees are due by May 18, 2012.

Call for Applications: Heading North Award

Young agricultural and resource economists in Australia and New Zealand interested in presenting at the 2012 AAEA Annual Meeting in Seattle can now apply for the Heading North Award. The winner of the award, sponsored by AARES and the AAEA Trust, will receive up to $2,750 in travel support to attend the meeting in Seattle and present during a Selected Paper session.The deadline to apply is March 2, 2012.

Travel Grants Available for AAEA Annual Meeting

Interested in attending the 2012 AAEA Annual Meeting in Seattle this summer? Looking for some help covering the cost of traveling to Seattle? AAEA is offering Travel Grants to select graduate students and young professionals at U.S. institutions. The AAEA Trust will reimbursing accepted applicants up to $400 in housing and transportation costs for travel to Seattle for the Annual Meeting.
