FFAR: New Innovator in Food and Agriculture Research Award

C-FARE would like to reach out to AAEA members about this Award opportunity

Dear Friend of the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research:
As you know, meeting and sustaining the growing global demand for food requires an innovative and committed scientific workforce. The Foundation’s New Innovator in Food and Agriculture Research Award invests in new university faculty, their creative and potentially transformative research projects, and the students and post-doctoral scholars who work on those projects. FFAR is honored to introduce you to the inaugural New Innovators - our first-ever grant recipients.

Take on a FFAR Challenge: Seeding Solutions Funding Opportunity
FFAR has recently taken on seven Challenge Areas, framing our focus on funding innovative research that addresses today's most pressing food and agriculture issues. These Challenges are big. They will not be solved through a single grant or even a single research program. Instead, we look forward to working with partners and forward thinkers like you to launch multiple programs within each area. Seeding Solutions, launched today, is our invitation to the food and agriculture community to join FFAR in taking our first steps toward solving these seven Challenges. Details below.

As always, thank you for your interest in FFAR.

FFAR is Seeding Solutions, a call to the community to come forward with bold, innovative, and potentially transformative research proposals addressing some of today’s most monumental food and agriculture challenges. Prospective grantees may come forward with a proposal for up to $1,000,000 of FFAR funding, and must secure equal or greater matching funding from a non-federal source before a grant will be awarded. Seeding Solutions is open for Pre-Proposals through January 16, 2016.
