The Committee on Women in Agricultural Economics (CWAE) is soliciting applications for graduate student travel awards. Two grants will be awarded to offset travel expenses for the 2015 AAEA & WAEA Joint Annual Meeting in San Francisco. Up to $1250 will be awarded to each recipient, based on expected travel costs and merit. The deadline for applications is May 15, 2015. Awards will be announced by May 25, 2015.
A qualifying applicant must be a current graduate student engaged at an accredited college, university, or other institution in an applied economics field that addresses topics consistent with the AAEA Vision Statement. To address CWAE’s goal of engaging a broader community of members in professional networking, the awardee must be a current member of CWAE (membership is free with an AAEA student membership) and must agree to attend the CWAE/COSBAE/EXT luncheon at the 2015 AAEA & WAEA Joint Annual Meeting (luncheon registration will be paid by CWAE). CWAE is open to the entire community of AAEA members. Those who have been awarded other AAEA grants to attend the 2015 AAEA Annual Meeting are not eligible for consideration.
