Symposium on Food Marketing and Economics Research
The deadline for contributed papers on food marketing and food economics for presentation at a special symposium “Setting the Agenda for Food Marketing and Economics Research” at the annual meetings of the Food Distribution Research Society (FDRS) has been extended to August 31, 2010. Selected papers will be presented following the opening session of the symposium on Tuesday, October 19 in Destin, Florida.

Canadian Journal of Agricultural Economics—2012 Special issue “Forest Economics and Management”The Canadian Journal of Agricultural Economics intends to publish a special issue on forest economics and management in June 2012. The issue will include 12-15 topical papers relating to economic methods, models, applications and institutions relevant to forestry issues in Canadian and global jurisdictions. Although all manuscripts relevant to the topic will be considered, priority will be given to studies that advance theory or methods, or have broad policy relevance. Authors wishing to submit manuscripts for the special issue should inform the managing editor of the CJAE (cjae@uvic.ca) regarding their intentions by submitting an abstract on or before September, 30 2010.

University of Minnesota to Host Job Fair for Students and Alumni
Join the St. Paul Campus Job & Internship Fair on September 22, 2010, at the University of Minnesota. Meet with undergraduate and graduate students as well as alumni from University of Minnesota and connect with faculty members. The event will be held from 10:00 am–3:00 pm in the North Star Ballroom, St. Paul Student Center.

Call for Papers: 2011 NCCC-134 Conference, 30th Anniversary
The 2011 NCCC-134 Conference on “Applied Commodity Price Analysis, Forecasting, and Market Risk Management” will be held April 18–19, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel St. Louis Downtown. 2011 represents the 30th anniversary of the conference. Researchers working in the broad areas of applied price analysis, commodity price forecasting, risk management, futures and options markets, and related areas are encouraged to submit proposals. The deadline for proposal submissions is Monday, October 4, 2010.

First Issue of Strategic Behavior and the Environment (SBE)
The first issue of the journal Strategic Behavior and the Environment has been published (by now Publishers). Strategic Behavior and the Environment provides a platform for the various disciplines that jointly contribute to our understanding of that field. Scholars in economics (including experimental economics, political economy, and game theory), political science, international relations, negotiation, and other disciplines are invited to submit manuscripts for publication consideration following a peer-review process.

The 8th Game Theory Practice (GTP) Meeting
The Water Science and Policy Center at the University of California, Riverside is pleased to release the second call for the 8th Game Theory Practice meeting dedicated to global and international issues. The meeting will take place in Riverside California, on July 11-12, 2011.
