Help AAEA Support Economists from Africa

You can help AAEA support an economist from Africa by nominating them to receive a travel grant to attend the 2010 Joint Annual Meeting. The AAEA Foundation will provide funding to offset travel costs for those selected. The nominees should be professional economists from Africa who are currently working in the field of agricultural, development, environmental, food and consumer, natural resource, regional, rural, and associated areas of applied economics and business.
Nominations should include:
  1. Nominee’s name, institution, postal address, and e-mail address.
  2. Brief statement of support written by the nominator.
  3. Brief statement of interest written by the nominee.
  4. Proposed travel budget, including other funding sources available.
Nomination packages should be submitted electronically in a single PDF to Kristin@aaea.org by 5:00 pm CDT by March 22, 2010. The funds for these travel grants are provided by a grant from the USDA-Economic Research Service.
