NAREA invites abstracts for selected papers and posters to be presented at its 2024 Annual Meeting to be held in Rehoboth Beach, DE. We welcome submissions in all areas of resource, environmental, and agricultural economics and encourage submissions from a diversity of scholars—faculty, post-docs, students and other professionals— and especially from those who are under-represented in the economics profession.
Where to Submit: Abstracts for the annual meeting should be submitted through NAREA’s Annual Meeting submission system
Individual Selected Papers and Posters: Submission Deadline: February 10, 2024
All submitters will receive an automated electronic acknowledgment. We expect to notify the authors by mid-March 2024. All paper and poster presenters of accepted papers must be NAREA members and registered for the Annual Meeting by April 10, 2024.
Selected paper and poster submissions should include:
- the title of the paper;
- names and institutional affiliations of the author and all co-authors;
- name and email address of the paper presenter;
- an abstract of no more than 500 words; and
- 1-2 topic areas.
The Selected Papers Committee will review abstracts in terms of significance to the field, strength of methodology/design, clarity of writing, and fit within conference topics. Some paper proposals may be invited to present as a poster instead of a paper. Although there is no limit to the number of abstracts an author may submit, each submission must have a different presenter to avoid conflicts in presentation.
Organized Session: Submission Deadline: February 3, 2024, and February 10, 2024.
If you would like to submit an organized session, the organizer must submit a session proposal by email to Donna Ramirez Harrington (donna.ramirez-harrington@uvm.edu) and Christina McGranaghan (cmcgran@udel.edu) on or before February 3, 2024 . Organized session submissions should include:
- a title for the session;
- a list of all titles that belong in the session; including the names and institutional affiliations of the author and all co-authors; and
- a brief one paragraph description of the session. If the proposed session is accepted, this description will appear in the conference program
- a brief one paragraph description of the topical relationship among the papers in the session.
The Program Chair/President-Elect and Selected Papers Chair will review organized session proposals in terms of coherence with the proposed session title/topic, significance to the field, strength of methodology/design, and clarity of writing. The organized session may be accepted in whole, in part (and the accepted papers assigned to other sessions) or may be rejected. Session organizers will be informed by February 8 of this decision.
Individual authors of accepted abstracts must then submit by February 10, 2024 the following through NAREA’s Annual Meeting submission system
