National Conference for Food and Agribusiness

The Purdue University Center for Food and Agricultural Business will host the National Conference for Food and Agribusiness November 6-7, 2019 on the university’s West Lafayette, IN campus. Take advantage of the opportunity to gain beneficial, relevant industry information and network with professionals from all facets of the agri-food system.

About the conference:

Purdue faculty will release detailed results and insights from recent farmer and non-farmer research studies. The studies were conducted to obtain input from each segment of the food and agricultural business value chain on the extent to which their organizations are collecting and using data.

Results from the farmer survey will cover the types of data producers collect, the tools used to manage and analyze data, the decisions driven by data, and their assessment of data driven decisions. A panel of data savvy growers will also share their experiences implementing data into their operations. Non-farmer survey findings will focus on the collection of data at each value chain segment, how they use it and the impact it has. Faculty will discuss how data is used to drive decision making in organization as well as help customers to improve their decision making.
