Travel Grants Available for Economists from Less Developed Countries

The AAEA Trust is again providing full travel support for economists from Less Developed Countries to attend the AAEA Annual Meeting. Nominees should be professional economists who are from and residing in a developing country. Selected applicants will be scheduled to present their research (as a paper or poster) during the meeting. Nominations are due on December 5, 2011.

AEA to Hold Briefing on Funding for Economic Census

The American Economic Association is holding a briefing on capitol hill on Monday to discuss the funding needed for the economic census. According to AEA, the Census Bureau has said that there is inadequate funding in 2012 to continue the program.
