A New Focus on Mentorship for AAEA

AAEA has recently made engaging younger members a priority in an effort to ensure the long-term stability of the association. This has resulted in initiatives including cheaper membership rates for graduate students, a new member type for young professionals, and the young professionals networking reception in Pittsburgh, which received quite a bit of positive feedback.

AEPP Call: Special Issue on Long-Term Care

AEPP is publishing a special issue titled "New Developments in the Economics of Long-Term Care" and is looking for paper submissions. This issue will attempt to address questions regarding the role of market forces in providing and funding long-term care, the ways to overcome market failures and information asymmetries, incentives to expand the provision of long term care as well as financing schemes to balance out efficiency, access, and quality goals. The deadline to submit a paper is August 31, 2011.
